David C. Hammer, 44, Bay Village, Ohio, and former Hillsboro resident, died of Leukemia Tuesday, June 29 at a hospital in Ohio.
Services were held Saturday, July 3 at St. Aloysisus Catholic Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. Fr. James E. Ennis officiating. Following cremation, interment was in Mt. Vernon Cemtery.
Mr. Hammer was born in Hillsboro Feb. 21, 1938, son of Edwin and Mary (Suchy) Hammer. He graduated wiht the class of 1956 at Hillsboro Hight School, and graduated from Ripon College in 1960. He did graduate work in Vanderbilt in Nashville and then went to Oak Ridge for one year befor joining the staff at lewis Research Center of NASA. He was a physicist.
He married Alice Sebranek in Hillsboro June 25, 1960.
Survivors include his wife; tow sons, Michael and Timoth;three daughters, Joanne, Janet and Suzanne, all at home;his mother, and a brother, Edwin Hammer of Madison.
